2011 All Souls Procession in Photos and Video

The 2011 All Souls Procession took place on Sunday, Nov. 6, with more than 20,000 people in attendance.
This is the 22nd year the procession has been held, which has grown from a small local event to an enormous city-wide attraction drawing in tens of thousands of spectators and participants each year.
The event is an offshoot of the Mexican holiday "Dia de los Muertos," meaning "Day of the Dead" in Spanish. The holiday is an opportunity for families to honor family members and friends who have died, and to celebrate their lives.
The 2-mile long parade through downtown Tucson ended at Mercado San Augustin, where the grand finale was held. The finale featured performances by Flam Chen as well as a ballet folklorico, among others.

Additionally, there were several smaller stages and other forms of entertainment set up around the mercado, such as this psychedelic light tunnel:
