Rosewood Mayakobá, Riviera Maya: This top voted resort is located along the white Caribbean sand on the Riviera Maya, is located south of Cancun and north of the seaside village of Playa del Carmen. Rosewood, San Miguel de Allende: 67 guest rooms, Sense, a Rosewood Spa, remarkable restaurants, a rooftop lounge, event space, an outdoor amphitheater and residences combine to shape a resort located in one of Mexico's oldest towns in the mountains north of Mexico City. 4. One&Only Palmilla, Los Cabos: Originally built in 1956 and known as a 15-room luxury hideaway, this property has now turned into a 115 room luxurious resort after a $90 million refurbishment. After carefully preserving the original resort and ambiance, it reopened in February 2004. 5. Four Seasons, Punta Mita: The Four Seasons, Punta Mita is located along the crystal-clear turquoise water and sandy-white beaches stretched across the Pacific coastline outside of Puerto Vallarta. There are 173 guest rooms, 32 suites, villas and many different locations available with various viewing options. Each room offers simple décor and has a terrace or balcony. 6. Banyan Tree Cabo Marques, Acapulco: This property, located in the exclusive area of Punta Diamante, near Acapulco, had magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean. The protected beach is a good vantage point for beautiful sunsets which can be seen from the privacy of a personal villa.
