The Mexican cultural influence in Tucson is a prominent part of the city and Salsa dance has been one of the most entertaining and popular parts of the culture. Here is a list of Tucson’s hottest salsa nights.
Club Neo Latin Night at Sapphire Lounge on Thursdays
Sapphire Lounge has a salsa night every Thursday. Along with salsa, the club plays Mambo, Latin House, Merengue and Samba music. The club offers lessons from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and has Mojito and Corona drink specials all night. It is a 21 and over club.

Palacio del Salsa at El Parador Restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays
El Parador Restaurant has a live band during the Friday Salsa night, which makes it all that much more fun. It is a 21 and over club. The club also gives lessons starting at 10:15 p.m. for $5 a person. They have a stage and dance floor with chairs and tables on both sides so you can enjoy food and drink while dancing. The Salsa Band named Descarga, plays contemporary Salsa and Latin music. Saturdays also feature live music and lessons.

Sam Hughes’ Place on Saturday Nights
Sam Hughes is a restaurant and bar that has a live Salsa Band and dancing on Saturdays . Along with delicious food, the bar features $3 Pacifico, 2-for-1 Milagro Tequila, Jerry’s Rum and Stoli Vodka as drink specials for the night. It is a 21 and over club.

Bachata Social at the University of Arizona on Saturday
Enjoy traditional Bachata, Salsa and Merengue dancing in Biological Sciences West Building in room 301. DJ Rob will play a collection of music for the night.
Salsa Soulseros, a group of UA Alumni and certified instructors, instructs the nights dancing. It is an all-ages event. This month’s Sunday Salsa nights will be: April 2, 16, and 30.
Time: 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Sunday Salsa Social at the University of Arizona Ballroom
The social begins with lessons from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m. followed by dancing. You do not have to attend lessons and can come just to dance. There is a disc jockey who plays music and sometimes the social features live bands. This month’s social will take place on April 10 and 17. April 17 will have a live band and the cost of entrance is $10. Kids under 12 years old get in for free.
Time: 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. (Lessons are from 5 p.m. - 6 p.m.)
