This page has a few different travel destinations and information about traveling in Mexico. Some of them are more popular than others, so you have to be careful to respect the people and places you visit.
San Ignacio, Baja California
A beautiful oasis in the desert, this place was founded by Jesuit missionaries in the 1700's. It offers a great place to whale watch and see old cave paintings.
Stay in a Yurt
For the adventurous types, Ignacio Springs bed and breakfast constructed yurts (basically a glorified tent) for their guests to stay in rather than cut down the beautiful palm trees on the land.
Ferry boats between Guaymas and Santa Rosalia
Sometimes this site is down but the ferry will take anything from cars to people between Mexico and Baja California for a pretty good price!
Ferry boats between La Paz and Mazatlan
Baja Ferries offers ferry rides to different destinations and has a much more reliable website than the one above (although it doesn't go to the same places).
Yucatan Peninsula
This site has an excellent guide to all things Yucatan.
Xcalak (pronounced "Shkalak")
This tiny town on the Yucatan Peninsula is off the electrical grid and offers visitors an escape from technology. Hurricane Dean did some damage in 2007 but the town is fully operational right now!
Rocky Point
A four to five hour drive from Tucson, Rocky Point has been a favorite Mexico hot spot for years. Be careful if you go during Spring Break because college kids love the place!
Mazatlan
This town is a fun tourist spot and has great deep sea fishing.
Cozumel
A tiny island in the Caribbean off of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cozumel offers some of the greatest diving around.
Lonely Planet Mexico Information
The Lonely Planet tour books offer a great insight to the area.
Cozumel Webcams
So here's a cool link to a few different webcams in Cozumel and Playa del Carmen (a beach town on the Yucatan, near isla Cozumel). I've only seen activity on a few of them but they are all supposed to work.
